Volunteer IT Technician: European Parliament Elections

During the 2024 European Parliament elections in Portugal, I volunteered as an IT technician responsible for setting up and maintaining the electronic voting systems.

I completed all required training, including:

• Support technician training for election day.
• Electoral agent and members of polling station certifications.
• GDPR and cybersecurity awareness courses.

On election day, I installed and tested the voting equipment (two computers per polling station) and provided on-the-spot support to polling stations experiencing technical difficulties.

This role enhanced my technical troubleshooting and situational problem-solving skills in a high-stakes environment.
