Welcome to my creative journey.

Original Music

For starters, where it is my personal music project. Feel free to check out some of my music below while I guide you through this journey (All projects at the end of the page).

My Musical Journey

My relationship with music began at the age of 10, when I started studying classical piano at the Conservatório de Música de Aveiro. It was there, alongside close friends, that I helped form my first musical project: "SuberBand" a playful and amateur (yet passionate) street brass band. Inspired by groups like Lucky Chops, I even picked up the tenor saxophone so I could join in and help recreate that powerful, high-energy brass sound. We performed in several cities across Portugal, and while it was far from polished, it remains one of my dearest early memories of playing music just for the joy of it and sharing those moments with friends.

Please don't take this video too seriously. It's more a moment of freedom and pure joy than a showcase of musical finesse! If you're here looking for higher musical quality, you might want to scroll down the timeline just a little... ahahah.

After completing the 5th grade of classical piano studies, I found myself increasingly disconnected from music. Much of that came from my frustration with the rigid and overly academic structure of traditional music education, one that left little room for artistic freedom or creative expression. I eventually stopped playing piano altogether for nearly two years.

What brought me back was the simple realization: I could do whatever I wanted with the piano. I didn't have to follow anyone else's ideas... That's when I started diving into jazz, returning to the Aveiro Conservatory with a new mindset. There, I began composing original pieces and co-founded Groovin, a jazz combo where I had my first experiences writing for ensembles. With this group, we recorded our first songs and even won awards, including Aveiro Jovem Criador.

The biggest leap in my musical development came when I moved to Porto to study Computer Engineering at FEUP and transferred to the Conservatório de Música do Porto. Surrounded by driven, creative musicians who constantly challenged themselves and each other, I grew as a pianist, composer, and artist.

With the Porto conservatory combo, I had the chance to perform in concerts and festivals all over the country: Festa do Jazz (Lisbon), Que Jazz É Este (Viseu), Festival Porta-Jazz (Porto), Campus Jazz (Aveiro) and more.

That period sparked a deep interest in composing and recording solo material. I began layering instruments, exploring sound design, and learning the craft of production and mixing. This led to the release of my debut album:

“I'd Like to Have a Purpose”

Over the last few years, I've also worked as a professional musician, playing in weddings and private events in solo, in duos, and with odd formations.

Right now, I’m focused on releasing several new projects I’ve been preparing. They’re nearly ready, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Thanks for stopping by, feel free to stay awhile.
